Set off from Entebbe International Airport to Zanzibar Airport. Here you will be picked up by a driver and you head out to the UNESCO heritage town (Stone Town). Stone Town isn’t just any town. It is a sensory experience not to be found anywhere else in the world. Historic Stone Town is one of Tanzania's most beloved tourist attractions. Stone Town is UNESCO World Heritage Site and the kind of place you could spend days and days wandering around, once a flourishing trading hub, is utterly captivating: the history and melting pot of African, Arab, Indian and European cultures; the vivid shades of every colour imaginable; the textures; the vibrant energy of the seafront and markets; and the friendly locals. The storied history of Stone Town is every bit as big as the beaches and crystal-clear waters. No visit to Zanzibar would be complete without a night or two in Stone Town. Check-in at Antonio’s Garden hotel and have lunch at Lukeman’s. Visit the prison island and have a city tour later in the day. Visit the Faradhoni night market and have some delicious food, enjoy cultural dances from the locals, night swimming competition and return to the hotel to rest.
